Apple Yi Jiang
Apple Yi Jiang is currently an architect, a Ph.D. researcher, and an artist based in Vienna.
Her ongoing doctoral project aims to develop a theory and design prototype for a future multi generational co living residential typology for China’s aging society.
She has worked in architectural field in Beijing and in Vienna. She first received her Bachelor of Architecture from Central Academy of Fine Arts before moved to Vienna, where then completed Master degree in Architecture from Studio Sejima at die Angewandte.
Before studying architecture, her 11 years of fine art education has had a profound impact on her current career in art/architecture. Her interests have remained on the residential study while exploring artistic expressions of design, and concepts that reflect social and cultural contexts.
