Open Call

QMA On Stage is an initiative that promotes migrant and BIPoC newcomers* of all musical genres in Vienna. To counteract structural barriers in the music industry, QMA On Stage promotes young artists and bands and connects them with the scene. It was initiated by Mwita Mataro in cooperation with QMA and takes place every year since 2020. In order to be considered for the program, an application is necessary.

QMA On Stage is a collective effort - together with Vienna-based musicians, producers, music industry professionals we support promising musicians and contribute to an Austrian music scene that is no longer male-centred and white-dominated. Let’s create it anew!

All open calls are announced on this page on the beginning of each year.
