In the framework of our series of talks with cultural workers from Vienna, we are aiming at making knowledge on the Viennese cultural sector accessible to all. We want to explore, how programs are created, what access points there are for artists and how inclusive they are. Furthermore, we want to highlight especially interesting galleries or initiatives that foster artistic diversity and stand for a new and inclusive approach of producing and exhibiting art.

For this talk we are visiting Michaela Stock in her gallery. It was founded in 2007 and initially focused on showing young Austrian artists that were not established yet. In the past years, the focus shifted and she started showing continuously more art from Middle and Eastern Europe. Currently she mainly represents Croatian concept and performance art and supports radical and destructive positions. She works with international curators on different exhibition and performance concepts and also runs the performance festival DOPUST since 2015.
